This Privacy Policy explains how Cold Brook Retreats LLC (“we,” “us”), which operates the Celly Time Beach House vacation rental in Oak Island, North Carolina and the website cellytimeoki.com, collects, uses, and protects your information. By using our site or booking a stay, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect the information you provide to make and manage a booking: your name, email address, phone number, number of guests, stay dates, any message you send us, and your agreement e-signature. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store full card numbers. We also collect basic technical data (such as your sign-in session) needed to operate the site.

How we use your information

We use your information to process and confirm bookings; to send booking- and stay-related communications (confirmations, check-in details, smart-lock door codes, and answers to your questions) by email, SMS, and push notification; to provide guest support; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. We do not use your information for third-party marketing.

SMS / text messaging

If you provide your mobile number at checkout or text us directly, we may send you booking- and stay-related text messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the business, and only as needed to provide the service: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Twilio (text messaging), Seam and our smart-lock provider (door codes), and our hosting and database providers (Vercel, Supabase). We may also disclose information where required by law. As stated above, mobile opt-in data is never shared for marketing.

Data retention & security

We keep booking records as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymize them. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices & rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing bookings@cellytimeoki.com. You can opt out of texts any time by replying STOP, and manage push notifications in your browser or device settings.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to operate the site. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they view, so we can improve it. It is cookieless and does not follow you across other websites. It records aggregate information such as the page visited, referring site, country, browser, and device type — it does not build a profile of you or record your name, email, or booking details. We strip sensitive values (such as private links and payment identifiers) from page addresses before they are recorded. We do not sell this or any other data.

Children

Our site and services are intended for adults 18 and older and are not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.
